Stories About Animals and Wind Sickness (Language Documentation)
Belgica answers questions about animal attributes and wind sickness. She recounts a beginning-times story about the Kushillu monkey (spider monkey). Beginning-times stories are Kichwa legends or stories about the origin of humans and animals. Essentially, in the beginning times, all animals and some plants were humans, but it was their individual manners and behavior that turned them into animals over time. Usually, each animal has an origin story, and certainly other stories interacting with other animals/humans
