A comprehensive compilation of known languages spoken in Africa, and the knowledge and ICT resources available for each. Though every attempt has been made to harmonize information from a variety of sources, there will inevitably be errors - please inform us about any problems you find. Sign languages deserve a separate project, and are not currently included in the Grid. The Grid was assembled by Dr. Martin Benjamin of kamusi.org in 2025. At the time of submission to the Endangered Languages Project library, the Grid identified 2375 languages throughout Africa.
