Audio and video recorded in Rutah village, southern Seram Island, in Maluku Province, eastern Indonesia. The principal consultants include seven men and two women from four of the primary lineages in Rutah. All principal consultants are aged older than 50 years. These data are largely elicited as there are now virtually no contexts in which this language is spoken. The data include several interviews carried out during ceremonies. The video data, while not naturalistic conversational data, includes monologues and dialogues of consultants telling stories about their families and their daily lives in the village and in their gardens and fields.
