Khoikhoi is a First language of Southern Africa and like her people, she is ERASED on our ancestral lands. Our work is guided by the 'HA DA GE A' principal which is 'WE ARE STILL HERE'.. We never left. It is challenging to do our GOWAS U-OA or language reclamation in a country such as South Africa who has yet to publicly acknowledge the 370 years of colonial violence on its First people and who has yet to intentionally resource this work.
