Language Champions Live! With Tzintia Montaño

In our sixth #LanguageChampions Live session, recorded on August 6, 2021, Tzintia Montaño takes us through her journey of revitalizing and documenting her heritage language, Dà'àn Davi (a variety of Mixtec) from Mexico. She will also share her experience in working to develop language technologies for Indigenous languages - and much more!

Tzintia is a linguist, currently pursuing her Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. She started to learn Dà'àn Davi from her grandmother who was a rememberer of the language, and she previously worked with Comunidad Elotl (http://elotl.mx) in Mexico.
