In 2019, at the Ka'a'gee Tu (Kakisa Lake), NT Spring Leadership Meeting, Dehcho First Nations established Nahecho Council. The Nahecho Council sit among us and guide our decisions with their wisdom. The Nahecho Council meet annually before the Dehcho Assembly to make recommendations on Language Revitalization efforts. In 2022 a Dehcho Dene Zhatié app was developed and available for download. There are current efforts to outreach with other organizations to establish partnerships on language revitalization efforts.

Our programs vary from language tables to instructive language classes depending on capacity. We host classes outside of business hours and at beginner level to make classes accessible for most people.
