This paper focuses on the description of a phonotactic and morphophonological process in Maropa, a highly endangered language of Bolivian Amazon. I propose that two surface phones in the language, which break the common CV syllable structure in Maropa to a CVC pattern, are linked to two clitics that trigger this phenomenon which also changes normal accent assignment in a phonological word.
