Since today was Thanksgiving, I decided to take a break from the language lessons & do a reflection of what got me thinking about doing Navajo words of the day... the format used by Native America Calling for their Native Words of the Day. So today's word is "Tazhii" or "Turkey." The sentence I used was, "Tazhii náshdíihgo bił nánísdziih," which means, "When I eat turkey I get sleepy." The breakdown: Tazhii: turkey Náshdíihgo: when I eat it Bił nánísdziih: I get sleepy Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving! :-)
