Join us for a free 8-week online learning series on language documentation - how to make good records of your language! Audio, video, and written records of your language can be used for revitalization, learning, teaching, making language resources, and much more. Together, we'll learn about what language documentation is and how to do it. We'll share practical ways to make good-quality audio and video recordings, discuss different areas of language and culture you might want to document, explore how to use those records to make language materials, and much more.
Each week, we'll learn about a different topic in language documentation. No prior experience or education is needed - we will start from the beginning. All are welcome!
Sessions will be held weekly on Zoom. Register for free at: https://bit.ly/langdoc2025
The Language Documentation Learning Series is co-hosted by the Endangered Languages Project and the Language Documentation Training Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (ldtc.org).
