The most striking change in usage is found in the new development of the demonstrative pronoun. The older generation use six demonstrative forms, one each for position near speaker, near person addressed, near person spoken of, each divided into two forms, visible and invisible. The younger speakers have added a new double division, definite and indefinite, so that there are now twelve forms instead of six.
