Bawm, also known as Bawm Zo or Banjogi, is a Kuki-Chin language spoken primarily in Bangladesh, with speakers also found in neighboring regions of Northeast India and Myanmar. In the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh, Bawm communities refer to their settlements as "Bawmram", meaning areas inhabited by Bawms.
In India, Bawm is spoken in Mizoram’s Chhimtuipui, Lunglei, and Aizawl districts, as well as parts of Tripura and Assam, reflecting its cultural and geographical reach.
