/Navajo Word of the Day - "Chxó̜ó̜h I'iis'á"̜
Today's Navajo Word of the Day was inspired by tonight's Chinle High School basketball game against Holbrook High School. Today's Navajo Word of the Day is "I'iis'á̜," which describes someone that can make good baskets, shots, three-pointers, etc. If you want to use it to say that a team is good at making baskets, shots, etc., the variant is saying, "chxó̜ó̜h i'neis'á̜." The example I used is, "Chinle Wildcats chxó̜ó̜h i'neis'á̜," which means, "Chinle Wildcats can make a lot of shots. Though this is advanced Navajo, it's nice to be reminded that Navajo can be used beyond the basics to describe different things. The ending of the vid includes a few snippets of some good baskets the Chinle Wildcats made while playing against the Holbrook Roadrunners. Though Chinle lost tonight 60 to 79, they did a good job playing against the 3A State Champs, Holbrook High! Good job, Wildcats! :-)
