"Deaf Peruvians attitudes toward LSP vary some, but most view the Lima variety of LSP to be the best and easiest to understand. Although there is some fear that ASL will destroy LSP and the Peruvian deaf culture, steps are being taken to protect LSP (such as dictionary production) and the deaf community is hoping for more LSP materials."
