Location and Context
Sumba Island.
Wee Lurri is located at the border between Loli District, Sumba Barat and Mamboro District, Sumba Tengah. People from this place can fluently speak Mamboru, Lolina dialect of Weyewa, and Weyewa itself. Their dialect is similar to Weyewa but it slightly different in intonation and few items in the lexicon. There are about four villages there and maybe 6 to 12 clans of Wee Luri people. It is part of the Mamboro District administratively.
Mbukambero lies in the northern Kodi and under the Kodi Utara District. This area is a border area: in the east is Weyewa, in the southwest is Kodi, and in the north is Loura. Their lexicon is dominated by Weyewa words with few words of Kodi. The majority of them can fluently speak both Kodi and Weyewa.
The Tana Maringi dialect is spoken in three regions: Tana Maringi, Ede, and Rara.
Dhikira lies in northern of Nggaura or Gaura and southwestern of Weyewa.
Waibhangga is located at the border between Tana Righu district and Loli District and part of Loli district administratively. Both districts are under the Sumba Barat regency. (I Wayan Arka, personal communication, November 2013)
