Since today is Daylight Saving's Time, today's Navajo Word of the Day is "hour." To say "hour" in Navajo, you say "ahéé'ílkid." This word basically describes something that's rotating in a circle in a dial type of fashion. As an additional phrase, to say "Daylight Savings Time," in Navajo you say, "Ná'oolkiłí t'ááłá'í ahéé'ílkid bee náás ninádajiiłkeed." The breakdown: Ná'oolkiłí: clock T'ááłá'í: one Ahéé'ílkid: hour Bee: by means of it Náás: further on/advanced/forward Ninádajiiłkeed: the people (3 or more people) set it I know this wording is a little "advanced," but I wanted to do a word & phrase approrpriate for the day. Enjoy & I hope you set your clock one hour ahead. Thanks to Evangeline Parson's Yazzie, Ed.D., for the wording on this! :-)
