Horhak - comprising of two words, 'hor' meaning homemade rice beverage, and 'hak' meaning bamboo-basket. It is carried by women to an important religious/social occasion. Rice beverage filled in calabashes and eatables ('han amung') are placed in such a Horhak which is covered with a colourful cloth. Horhak carried to a 'Chojun' (ancestor veneration) is called 'Arnam a`Horhak' which will have nine calabashes of the 'Bongchin' variety, one of the 'damdam' variety and one 'Tibuk' (pitcher) of rice beverage placed over nine palm-full of rice grains in the base. The same Horhak is also carried to a wedding called 'Adam-Asar'. Such a Horhak is called 'Kartap a`Horhak' when it is carried to a healing worship (culturally defined mental disability). Another Horhak carried to a veneration of the Spirit of Season is called 'Botor a`Horhak' accompanied by a bamboo water carrier and a bamboo filled with rice beverage. A Horhak carried to funeral festival known as 'Chomangkan' is called 'Kithi a`Horhak' where the number of calabashes is reduced to eight.
