I am Mayan from Yucatan, Mexico. I have worked on the revitalization of the Yucatecan Mayan language in different ways such as the media, art and academia. I have a university master's degree in Sociolinguistics and a professional master's degree in Development of Original Languages and Identities. I am an activist for my language in my town; I believe that we should all be able to use our language in all areas that shape us as people.
