Today's Word of the Day is: Béésh T'áá Bí Nitsíkeesígíí. This means computer, or literally "the metal that thinks on it's own." I use it in a sentence by saying, "Shibéésh nitsikeesí éí Béésh T'áá Bí Nitsíkeesígíí doo bidiit'i' da.,' which means, "My computer isn't connecting to the Internet." The breakdown: Shi: my béésh (metal) nitsikeesí (thinker): computer Éí: it Béésh (metal) T'áá Bí (on it's own) Nítsékeesígíí (the one that thinks): Internet Doo bidiit'i' da: it's not connected to it This is one of the most complex concepts to put in "one" word or phrase. I welcome other people to send video responses on how they say "Internet" on different parts of the reservation or have thoughts on how it should be said.
