This video is NOT mine. It belongs to WikiTONGUES and is posted on Youtube. Upper Sorbian has about 40,000 speakers, mostly in Saxony, a state in Eastern Germany. It has been sidelined legally, but blossomed after 1500, in which it became a written language. However, the closing of language schools in Germany has put Upper Sorbian at risk, even though few people continue to speak it.
