This is a traditional dance perfomed by the Tohono O'odham Nation, formerly known as Papago Indians. This dance was performed earlier today at the Sells Recreation Center in Sells, AZ, for a company Christmas dinner. Permission to record this dance was given to me by Fred Lopez, a member and organizer of this dance group. Lopez informed me that this particular dance is a prayer for rain.
