An Gleann is a raibh ann was published in 1968 in Standardised Irish. The original manuscript was written in the Irish dialect found in South Tipperary and West Waterford and this book is perhaps the best surviving document of this dialect. I am involved with a group that are transcribing the manuscript in a hope to preserve the dialect in a format that is usable by students and scholars of language. We have the manuscript transcribed and are in the process of compiling it into to one document for research.
